The State Scholarship Board is one of the earliest agencies established shortly after the creation of the state. It was constituted through Executive Council Memorandum No LSEC (68) as an advisory and implementation organ on Scholarship awards.
Admnistration of awards metamorphosed in 1979 from award of Local and Foreign Scholarships, to the award of Bursary at rates determined by individual courses in order to cater for the large number of indigenes in need of assistant in Nigeria tertiary institutions and Law School.
We provide advisory services for student and intending students.
We perform a screening exercise on the prospective candidates to determine the recipients most suited for the scholarships.
